Castle Rock State Park

Castle Rock State Park

Sandstone formations and prominent ridges make this 5,150-acre park a popular destination for rock climbers. But if you don't know how to belay, there are still 34 miles of nature trails. The Skyline-to-the-Sea trail, for instance, is a favorite among backpackers because it passes through Castle Rock and Big Basin Redwoods State Park.
