Butano State Park

Butano State Park

This 4,000-acre park has 40+ miles of hiking trails that wind through redwood forests, oak woodlands, and babbling creeks. Butano is thought to be named after a drinking cup made from a bull's horn, but we can't be sure. Maybe that's why it remains one of California's lesser-known parks.
