WHO WE ARE
We’re a crew of outdoor lovers who want to substitute screens for the spectacular and transform the mundane into magic. We design virtual and community outdoor experiences to reimagine the stories we tell ourselves & the natural world. Meet the people who are going on this trip:
My journey with the outdoors began five years ago. I was first introduced to hiking as a way to spend time with friends over the weekends. They were daunting at first, but they eventually felt exhilarating & rewarding because we created beautiful memories together.
I partnered with Yvonne to organize these trips because in college I designed an international travel program for 1,000+ strangers who later became close friends and even couples! I’ve been obsessed with the idea of reigniting this particular passion of mine, and I'm super excited to make it easer to experience the magic of the outdoors.
Heyyyyy! I grew up in Washington State, and didn't fall in love with the outdoors until I moved to SF when I was 27 years-old!
I've since hiked the 200+ mile John Muir Trail, climbed Mt. Whitney twice (the pic above is from the top!), summited Aconcagua (the tallest peak outside of the Himalayas) and just started learning how to ski two seasons ago.
I founded Bewilder because I deeply believe that being in nature unlocks so much more than adventures. It's healing, inspiring, empowering & meaningful in ways that are almost impossible to explain. You have to experience if for yourself, which is why Bewilder exists.
GOT QUESTIONS & IDEAS?
Check out our FAQS below, email us at email@example.com, or schedule a 15-minute call. We'll answer any of your questions and concerns.
WHY IS THERE AN APPLICATION?
It helps to know what everyone's experience levels are when it comes to hiking & camping. We also want to create an environment where everyone feels safe, open & welcome on this trip so learning more about you helps us create a positive experience for everyone.
WHEN'S THE LATEST I CAN APPLY?
Sunday, October 31! Sign up before Halloween so we can get a sense of who's coming! If you have to make a last-minute decision, no worries, just shoot us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
AWESOME! WHAT'S THE WEATHER LIKE AT JOSHUA TREE?
October through March is the ideal time to go desert camping. Highs are typically in the 70s and lows are in the 50s. You’ll need to wear a beanie and down jacket at night, but Joshua Tree National Park is one of the coziest & comfortable places to go camping in during the wintertime. Check out the weather forecast.
WHAT IF WE GET BAD WEATHER?
Weather can be unpredictable when it comes to camping trips. We'll make the trip happen whether there's rain or wind, but if there are smoky skies or risk of a wildfire, you'll receive a 100% refund.
WHAT IF I'M SIGNING UP ALONE?
No worries! We’ll match you with another creative, kind, and amazing person of the same gender to share a tent with.
SPEAKING OF TENTS, I HAVE MY OWN CAMPING GEAR. SHOULD I BRING IT?
Yes, if you’d like! It doesn’t change the price of the weekend because we have to rent gear & buy food in advance, but you might be more comfy in your own tent.
WHERE CAN I RENT GEAR?
- Arrive Outdoors
Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any gear-related questions!
WHAT IF SOMETHING COMES UP & I CAN'T GO ANYMORE?
We get that life happens, but since this is a group trip, we care about whether you're there! Try your best to clear your schedule before committing.
Full refunds will be provided for those who have a positive Covid test result or have a change of plans at least 30 days before the campout.
WILL EVERYONE BE VACCINATED?
Yes! All campers are required to submit proof of vaccination before they can join the trip.

AND NEITHER DO WE.
Every week, we deliver one-of-a-kind camping trips straight into your inbox. Let us plan your next outdoor adventure.
